Representative Elton Gallegly, sponsor of HR 3293, a bill to authorize the In Memory memorial plaque, made a highly effective presentation during a CNN Early Edition interview Thursday, March 16. The interview also included commentary by Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund president Jan C. Scruggs.

The March 16 hearing before the Committee on Resources' Subcommittee on National Parks & Public Lands also went very well. Speaking convincingly in favor of the In Memory plaque were In Memory advisory board members James G. Zumwalt and Michael Fluck, and Vietnam Veterans of America Executive Director Ed Croucher.
