1970 01 101st Reception: This was taken my first day with the 101st. I think we were taken to Phu Bai for in-country briefing. E-mail Terry O. Atkinson (Terry.owens@gmail.com).

1970 02 101st Reception: We probably all went through this. Everyone is filling out financial and other personal records.

1970 03 Chinook at Eagle: Just a nice shot of a Chinook.

1970 04 OH6 Eagle: One of B Troops scout LOHs. I'm not sure who was flying it. The tail number is 16038, I think. Considering the number of times his LOHs were shot up, this is probably one of Donnelly's. Anyone got an idea? E-mail Terry O. Atkinson (Terry.owens@gmail.com).

1970 05 OH6 Eagle: Same LOH.

1970 06 OH6 Eagle: Same LOH again.

1970 07 B Trp Gun Plt: B Troops Cobra line. The city of Hue is over those hills in the distance.

1970 08 B Trp hooches: Clearly, I was taking a picture of the Chinook carrying a damaged helicopter away. B Troop's hooches are in the foreground. You can show your kids how we washed our clothes.

1970 09 B Trp hooches: Same view a moment later. You can see our "homes" a little better in this shot.

1970 10 B Trp Scouts: This is the B Troop scout line. When I first took over the scout platoon in April, there were three LOHs and I think 5 pilots. I count six LOHs in this shot, so I'd guess it's late May or early June. E-mail Terry O. Atkinson (Terry.owens@gmail.com).

1970 11 Camp Eagle: This must be taken from the West of Camp Eagle. I can see water in the distance. I have no idea what I was doing with a camera out there. B Troop and the Squadron areas are at the left in the photo.

1970 12 Camp Eagle: Same flight. You can clearly see the Squadron's main hangar at the far right of the photo.

1970 13 B Trp Scout: One of the scout pilots in B Troop: WO1 Brian Harris. Brian and I went to flight school at Wolters at the same time. He went through the Warrant Officer course 70-1 while I went through the Officer course 70-2. He was shot through the foot soon after this photo was taken and evacuated to Japan. I understand that Brian died in 1989.

1970 14 & 15 Brian Harris reading a letter from home.

1970 16 FB ORiley: Me at FB O'Riley with the 1st ARVN Division. I believe this was the headquarters for the 1st Regiment.

1970 17: Me at FB O'Riley.

1970 18: John Yearwood at Eagle.

1970 19: From left to right: Terry Atkinson, Scout Platoon Leader; John Yearwood, Slick Platoon Leader; and Frank Frazier, Guns Platoon Leader.
