Here are several shots of some of us "chuting up" before a jump and some shots of a few of the scout plt sections on a C-130 before a jump. If I remember right we had 5 recon plts and one headquarters plt.
Our scout "jeep" was B-58 and our radio call Id was Scallawag 58. There are several color photos of B-58 and fellow troopers of the 4th Recon Pltn. during a field exercise.
There are a few shots of the 4th Recon Plt exiting a C-123 and a C-130 that I took from the air after my chute opened. If I remember right I believe the drop zone was Yamoto DZ.
I remember a full blood Sioux Indian in the 5th Recon plt., but I don't remember anyone else in the other plts. We spent almost all of our time in the field, summer and winter.
